Admission & Registration

Registration for Music LessonsThe Music Connection is a year round school. New students may enroll at any time.  Admission to private lessons begins with an interview and completion of the registration directly online.   The interview obtains student information and familiarizes the student/family with The Music Connection programs and policies, which then matches the student with the most appropriate teacher.  New students need to complete a registration form and include registration fee (non-refundable) online or mail to the Orland Park studio.

Notification of a lesson cancellation by the student is a courtesy to the teacher but does not excuse payment for the lesson. Private lesson students are allowed a total of three make-up lessons: one in Fall, one in Winter and one in Spring. There are no makeups for missed Summer lessons, however during Summer season, student is allowed to “flex” up to 4 lessons to allow for Vacation/travel. If you cancel a lesson, please provide 24 hour advance notice. If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, it will be considered a ‘no-show’ and will not be made-up (except in cases of emergency). If a teacher misses a lesson for any reason, a substitute teacher will be provided or the lesson will be made up.If an attempt has been made to provide at least two make-up dates and these have been rejected or cancelled the teacher is not required to make-up that lesson. Missed group lessons cannot be made-up but the student can attend on another day/time, if the same class is offered. There are no make-ups for lessons during the summer months.
